The focus of this assignment is to begin to think about healthcare policy, the process of policy-making, and the role of the nurse in policy with a reflection on the nursing profession. This course moves beyond the bedside and your workplace to the nursing profession globally.
Please write a question for each of the 4 items below:
1) The importance of health policy and economics to advanced nursing practice.
2) How nurses are involved in policy making.
3) Nurses advocating for the nursing profession…..Not at the workplace/bedside environment activities. The focus for this question and throughout the course should be through the lens of professional nursing beyond the bedside such as political/legislative advocacy.
4) Ethics in health care policy.
The questions should be substantial to promote critical thinking and application of the concepts.
In your initial post where you will write the 4 questions based on the concepts listed, you do not need to cite references. Be sure to review the lecture materials in order to better understand the concepts to write your questions.
