Topic prompt: Please address each of the following sections:
1. Interview an APN/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (PCNP) about their roles, transition, and the role development phases that they have experienced during their work experiences.
2. Ask for specific descriptions of specific situations at different times in their practice. (For example, discuss a problem when they first began practicing in an APN role, another at six months, another at one year, and so on)
3. What barriers did they encounter in each period and how did they resolve the problems?
4. Compare these descriptions with the role development phases described in Powerpoint lecture materials including chapter 4 (Role development) and 13 (Primary Care NP) and at least 2 references from current literature on APN role development. Your interview must incorporate this knowledge.
